Edinburgh Schools Kayak Club was set up in 2011 to increase participation at grassroots level and create opportunities for young people to progress in paddle sport.
The club aims to create a pathway for paddlers to become involved in kayaking and canoeing with an emphasis on the Olympic disciplines of Canoe Slalom and Flat water racing. There are also opportunities for river trips and recreational paddling as well as leadership roles allowing young people the opportunity to gain valuable coaching qualifications that can help with CVs, college and university applications and progression to coaching roles at the Club and beyond.

ESKC are based at Meggetland Community Sports Hub on the banks of the Union Canal, in Edinburgh, we are well placed to deliver all aspects of paddle sports to all ability levels.
The Clubhouse and boat storage is located adjacent to St Andrew's Boat Club.
Pool sessions take place in the winter months at local locations, with paddlers in small groups to hone water skills and to practice Eskimo rolling and safety skills.
